Pt. B. D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak has invited applications for admission to BACHELOR OF PHYSIOTHERAPY(BPT) & B.SC. OPTOMETRY COURSE 2011 in College of Physiotherapy, PGIMS, Rohtak, Other BPT Colleges Affiliated to Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak and B.Sc. Optometry course at Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, PGIMS, Rohtak

ELIGIBILITY :
(i) The candidate should attain the age of 17 years or more on 31.12.2011.
(ii) The candidate must have passed following examinations:
Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) of Board of School Education Haryana or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together and pass the qualifying examination.

In case of SC/ST & Backward classes candidates the marks obtained should be read as 40% in qualifying examinations.

FOR B.SC. OPTOMETRY : In service candidates shall also be eligible as in-service candidates provided he/she fulfills above qualifications for eligibility has passed the course of Ophthalmic Assistant/Optometry/Orthoptics (minimum 2 years duration) from any recognized Board/Council/University and thereafter is in regular employment with Maryana Health/Medical Education and research department and possesses a minimum experience of three years or more as Optometrist/Ophthalmic Assistant in Haryana Health/ Medical Education and Research Department.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) - 4 ½ years
Bachelor of Occupational therapy(BOT) - 4 ½ years
Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics (BPO) - 4 ½ years

Eligibility
SSC Examination of CBSE or equivalent (10+2) with 50% or more marks for general category and 45% for SC/ST/PH and CWAPP category in the aggregate of four subjects viz. PCBE for BPT/BOT and PCBE/PCME for BPO, provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately.

The candidates appearing/appeared in the 10+2 examination may also apply. However, it is subjected to their clearance of qualifying examination with required percentage of marks before declaration of result of entrance test.

The candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination before the year 2008-2009 and have discontinued their regular studies for more than 3 years are not eligible to appear in the entrance test.

Age as on 01.08.2011 Minimum 17 years of age and Maximum of 23 years of age for General Category, 28 years of age in case of SC/ST/PH category

Eligibility
