1) Four-year Integrated PhD Program
2) Three-year Integrated Doctor of Juridical Sciences(JSD)/LLM & PhD Programs
3) Two Year PhD Program

ELIGIBILITY:
For Integrated PhD Program, LLB or Graduation in relevant Discipline with Honors in the subject in which the student want to pursue his/her PhD. The student must have a minimum of 55% Marks in aggregate or equivalent Grade Point in the qualifying examination.

For Integrated Doctor of Juridical Sciences(JSD)/LLM & PhD Programs, LLB from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% in aggregate or an equivalent grade point in the qualifying examination.

For Two Year PhD Program, Post Graduation in the concerned discipline or subject, from an Indian or foreign University, having at least 55% in aggregate or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination

Shortlisted candidates shall be intimated through E-mail by May 20, 2011 and they will have to fill-up the Second Round of Application along with Examination fee of Rs.2500/- by June 15, 2011. Candidates who have been awarded UGC-JRF and UGC-NET in the relevant subject shall have to directly appear for Group Discussion and Interview, the date for which shall be intimated after the entrance test.

National Institute of Plant Genome Research, New Delhi has invited applications from candidates who have completed or will be completing M. Sc. or equivalent degree (by August 31, 2011) in Life Sciences and/or in related disciplines with minimum 55% marks, and have cleared the CSIR-UGC NET exam / DBT-JRF (selected through BET/BINC) / ICMR NET exam for JRF (with a valid Junior Research Fellowship as on September 1, 2011), for conducting advanced researches in the frontier areas of Plant Biology such as, Computational Biology, Genome Analysis and Molecular Mapping, Molecular Mechanism of Abiotic Stress Responses, Nutritional Genomics, Plant Development and Architecture, Plant Immunity, Transgenics for Crop improvement, Molecular Breeding and other emerging areas based on plant genomics.

The selected candidates will be enrolled for Ph.D. program in academic affiliation with the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. NIPGR will provide shared accommodation to selected candidates.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
1. Application should be typed on A-4 size plain paper in the format given below:

2. Item 3 and 5 in the format should be filled in as shown in the Senior Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
3. Each page in the typed application form should be signed by the candidate.
4. Completed application must be accompanied with a crossed Demand Draft for 300/- in favor of Director, National Institute of Plant Genome Research, payable at New Delhi. A demand draft of 100/- is acceptable from SC/ST candidate provided relevant documentary proof is enclosed.
5. Application should be accompanied by attested copies of certificates and mark sheets mentioning the division obtained and Fellowship Award Letter/Admit Card.
6. Two passport size recent photographs should be enclosed. One of these should be signed by the candidate and pasted on the application form, while the other should be enclosed.
7. Application along with Demand Draft should be sent to "The Director, National Institute of Plant Genome Research, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, Post Box No. 10531, New Delhi-110 067" so as to reach on or before May 24, 2011.
8. Applications must enclose documentary evidence for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) if applicable, along with other specified enclosures.
