Eligibility
(A) Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

(a) (i) B.Sc. (Honours) Computer Science (10+2+3 scheme) from University of Delhi or any other University whose examination is recognized as equivalent to University of Delhi with 60% marks in aggregate.

(a) (ii) Any bachelor degree from the University of Delhi with atleast one paper in Mathematical Sciences under annual mode/ atleast two papers in Mathematical Sciences in semester mode or an equivalent degree. Minimum percentage required 60% marks in aggregate (Relaxation of 5% marks for the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories).

(B) M.Sc. (Computer Science)

(a) (i) B.Sc. (Honours) Computer Science (10+2+3 scheme) from University of Delhi or any other University whose examination is recognized as equivalent to University of Delhi with 60% marks in aggregate

(ii) B.Sc. Applied Physical Sciences with Mathematics and Computer Science / B.Sc.(General) Mathematical Sciences, (10+2+3 scheme) with Mathematics and Computer Science from University of Delhi or any other University whose examination is recognized as equivalent to University of Delhi. Minimum Percentage required: 60% marks in the aggregate along with 60% marks in Computer Science and Mathematics separately.

(iii) Any Bachelor’s Degree of University of Delhi or an equivalent examinations, with at least six papers in Computer Science and two papers in Mathematics under Semester system / at least four papers in Computer Science and one paper in Mathematics under Annual Examination System. Minimum Percentage required 60% marks in the aggregate, and 60% marks in Computer Science and Mathematics separately. (Relaxation of 5% marks for the candidates belonging to SC / ST categories for all of the three above) (b)

The candidates who are appearing in the final year examinations of the degree on the basis of which admission is sought [as mentioned above in B (a)] are also eligible to apply.

Age Limit: (i) No person shall be eligible for admission to first year of the MCA / M.Sc. (Computer Science) course in the University unless he / she is twenty years of age before the first day of October of the year in which he/she seeks admission.

Eligibility
For B.Tech: Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology. Obtained at least 50% marks in the above subjects taken together. Apply directly to the Institute.

For PG Courses: BE/B.Tech in relevant fields with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

For MCA: Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks and Mathematics at least up to 10+2 level. Admission will be based on performance in institute’s M.C.A. Entrance Test / any State level Entrance Test.

For Ph. D.: Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology or its equivalent with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 5.5 on a 10-point scale or equivalent as determined by the institute. Admission will be through Written Test and Interview.

Option 1:
Application Forms are available at the designated branches of Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC). Application Form (with Prospectus) will be available at these branches from 11th April onwards till 30th June 2011.

Option 2:

Selection :
Strictly on the basis of merit.
A Rank list will be prepared on the basis of index mark obtained with 50:50 weightage for the percentage marks obtained in the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination – 2011, and percentage marks obtained for PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) in 12th Standard. The branch will be allotted based on the rank, preference and availability of seats at the time of interview. The rank list along with the details of marks of all eligible applicants will be displayed in the college website.

Minimum Eligibility:

A pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or an examination recognized equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks in Mathematics as stipulated by M G University. However average 70% marks for PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) in 12th standard is desirable.
He/She shall be qualified in Kerala Engineering Entrance Exam 2011 for all seats other than NRI Quota.
Govt. Quota Seats:
50% of the seats are reserved as Government quota. This will be allotted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Govt. of Kerala.

Full Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme:
The AICTE approved Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme is implemented in the college. Accordingly, students with high academic results and hailing from economically backward families are granted full tuition fee concession. The selection is made purely on the basis of Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination rank list and family income.
In addition, the Management offers full tuition fee waiver for meritorious students who secure ranks upto 3000 admitted through Govt. Quota.

MBA

Course:-
Two year full-time MBA programme with specilisation in Finance, Marketing and Human Resource Management.

Academic Infrastructure:-
Distinguished faculty, well equipped classrooms, Wi-Fi enabled lecture halls, computer centre and good library with national and international journals.

Selection:-
On the basis of qualifying degree, MAT score and performance in GD/Interview.

Eligibility:-

M.Tech Degree Programme in Computer Science & Information system is offered by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering.
M.Tech in Communication Engineering is offered by the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering.
The Course leading to the degree of Master of Technology will span a period of four semesters (2 Years). The span of a semester will be six months including the university examination.

1. Curriculum
The curriculum comprises a full time course of study as per the scheme and syllabi approved by M G University. The students have to undertake a suitable project work in consultation with the concerned Department and submit the project report at the end of the respective semesters, on or before the dates announced by the college/department.

2. Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility will be subject to the rules and regulations of Mahatma Gandhi University and AICTE.

The candidates shall have acquired the prescribed qualification from an institution approved by the AICTE and MG University.
Candidates with:
i. Valid Gate score.
ii. For M Tech in CSIS : At least 60% marks in BE/B Tech in CSE/IT or MCA.
iii. For M.Tech in CE : At least 60% marks in BE/B Tech in ECE.
Non GATE candidates have to appear for a test/interview conducted by the concerned Department.
For SC/ST candidates, a pass in the above mentioned degree is sufficient.
Candidates who have degrees awarded from universities other than MG University shall submit Eligibility Certificate from Mahatma Gandhi University as well as Migration Certificate at the time of admission.
3. Procedure for Selection

The selection of the candidate will be based on the valid GATE score.
If sufficient GATE qualified candidates are not available, the selection will be based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and the test/interview conducted by the college.

Eligibility for Admission :

1. The students entering MCA must have a BCA/B.Tech/B.Sc./B.Com./BA degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or at graduation with not less than 60% marks (excluding languages) in the qualifying examinations.



2. Subject to the regulation relating to prescribed minimum of the respective qualifying examination, the minimum marks of admission to the course of studies shall be a pass in the case of SC/ST candidates.



3. Candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) referred to GO(P)208/66/Edn dated. 2-5-96 and subsequent amendments to order issued by the Government shall be given a relaxation of 2% marks in the prescribed minimum for admission.



4. A relaxation of 5% marks from the prescribed minimum shall be allowed in the case of physically handicapped persons.



5. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in more than one chance in the subject (excluding languages) will have their percentage marks derated at the rate of 5% for every additional appearance for the purpose of ranking.



Candidates with such degrees awarded by the Mahatma Gandhi University or any other degree recognized as equivalent to degrees in i (a) by the Mahatma Gandhi University also are eligible to apply.



Reservation of seats shall be as per rules prescribed in the relevant rules by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Kerala.



Selection for admission will be provisional and subject to the verification of original documents by the authorities concerned at the time of admission. If any fraud is detected, his/her selection will be cancelled without any further notice.



The seats will be filled based on the rank/score obtained in the Entrance Test conducted by the Director of Technical Education, Kerala, the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and interview.
