We are currently seeking Clinic Site Registered Nurses for a NEW Senior Clinic in Round Rock.
Summary
Responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients/families. The RN is involved in direct and indirect patient care. The RN provides direction to Licensed vocational nurses (LVNs) and Medical Assistants (MAs) as well as other non-licensed nursing personnel in the provision of patient care. In collaboration with other health team members, follows the philosophy, policies and goals of LSCC.
Responsibilities:
Performs patient assessments/reassessments including triaging
Coordinates and participates in providing direct and indirect patient care
Performs care to meet the physical, psychological, psychosocial, emotional and social needs of the patients/families
Manages the referral process ensuring timely and efficient referrals to specialty services and communicates barriers to the appropriate Provider
Communicates clearly with patients, families, visitors, healthcare team, physicians, administrators, leadership and others
Provides for patient safety at all times
Verifies accuracy of medication administration by following all safety measures
Coordinates with Pharmacy staff to maintain compliance and documentation for formulary, sample inventory and prescription assistance programs as directed by the Site Manager and/or Practice Administrator
Manages the acquisition, storage and maintenance of vaccine and maintains supporting documentation and records
Assists with monthly reporting for programs as directed by the Site Manager or Practice Administrator
Teaches, supervises, and serves as a resource person and delegates in accordance with the competency level of all staff members.
Serves as a mentor and completes the appropriate documentation of training and competency
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school
Valid Texas RN License
BCLS (CPR & AED) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Knowledge of related OSHA, CLIA, and JCAHO guidelines and requirements
Preferred Requirements:
Proficiency in Spanish
Experience in Clinic/Outpatient environment
3-5 year of nursing experience, but sufficient education may be substituted
Ideal candidate must be detail oriented, able to work in a fast paced environment, able to handle a wide variety of duties/situations, and flexible with their schedules (days, evenings, and Saturdays possible).
