In Pursuanceto the decisions of the Apex court in Islamic Academic Educational and Another Vs, State of Karnataka and others dated 14.08-2003, A Common Entrance Test is to be conducted. Sri Baiaji Vidyapeeth University will be conducting entrance test for Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences for the purpose to admit students in BDS Course.

The application is meant for registering the candidate for Common Entrance Test conducted by SRI BALAJI VIDYAPEETH UNIVERSITY for INDIRA GANDHI INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES, Puduvai-Cuddalore Main Road, Pillaiyarkuppam, Puducherry- 607 402,


Eligibility for Admission
As per pre-requisite admission to 1 BDS degree course. Candidates must have appeared in S8VUDCET - 2011. However, mere appearance rn SBVUDCET • ZCll will not automatically qualify a candidate for admission to BDS degree course. For admission to EDS degree course, the candidate shoufd fulfil the necessary admission requirements prescribed by SRI BALAJI VIDYAPEETH UNIVERSITY.

Minimum Academic Qualification
Candidate for admission to the first year BDS Degree course should have passed the H.Sc (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST) in the following subjects. Candidate mustalso have taken English as one of the subjects-Biology (Botany & Zoology) / Physics/Chemistry, Student also should secure above 50% marks in the Common Entrance Test to be etigible for seeking admission.

Age Limit
Candidateshould be 17 years of age as on 31st December 2011. However, no upper age limit has been prescribed.

Permitted Number of Appearances in Qualifying Examination
The maximum number of appearances [Including first appearance} permitted to pass the qualifying examination foradmission to BDS degree course for differentcategories of candidates are given below. (The appearance forthe first time in the qualifying examination is considered asthe first appearance)



Instructions and Guidelines to Fill the Application Form
Candidate desirous of appearing for the Common Entrance Test (SBVUDCET 2011) conducted by SRI BALAJI VIDVAPEETH UNIVERSITY should fill their application in the prescribed format and send directly by post.
Candidates either have to use the application forrn given along with the Information brochure by the college or downloaded application form from website www.sbvuniversity.com / www.balajitrust.org Candidates who use the downloaded application form have to pay Rs.GBO/- (Rupees six hundred and Fifty only) as a Demand Draft separately towards the cost of the application along with the completed application form. The Application and Information booklet can also be obtained in person on payment of Rs,6QQ/- (Rupees six hundred only) by cash from the College Office or can be obtained by Post by sending a requisition along with Demand Draft for Rs.650/- (Rupees six hundred and Fifty only) inclusive of posta! charges drawn in favour of SKI BALAJI VIDYAPEETH UNIVERSITY, Payable at Puducherry. After processing, it found eligiblerthe Hail Ticket will be sent tothe candidate by post.


The completed application form should reach the office before 5 00 p m on IB.06 2011, SBVUDCET will not be responsible for postal or any other delay. Incomplete / Wrongly filled application wNI be summarily rejected.
The application received after the due date and time will also be summarily rejected and no further correspondence in the matter will be entertained, Entrance Test application along with the Information brochure is available at above address.

HSC (+2) or equivalent qualification with English, Phsyics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany and Zoology)/ Biotechnology and Mathematics with marks as prescribed by the MCI.

Eligibility for BDS:
HSC (+2) or equivalent qualification with English, Phsyics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany and Zoology) with marks as prescribed by the DCI.

Section will be made on merit, based on the marks secured in the Entrance Examination conducted by this University on All India basis.

Submission of the application form for entrance test / admission by post or in person along with Photographs and other enclosures on or before 10.06.2011 at 5.00 pm. 2. Selection will be made on the merit based on marks secured in Qualifying examinations (PUC II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent) in relevant subjects conducted by various Board / Universities and JSSU entrance examination. 3. The application downloaded from the Website of the University should be accompanied by a DD for Rs. 1,000/- drawn in favour of “JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT , Mysore” payable at Mysore. 4. The entrance test will be followed by counseling and admissions on 25.06.2011.The counseling process will be announced on the website www.jssuni.edu.in. 5. The Exam Center will be at MYSORE center only. 6. Admission of selected students to courses and colleges allotted during counseling session. INTRODUCTION: a) Students will be admitted to BDS course in the constituent college of JSS University, JSS Dental college, Mysore , on the basis of the rank list prepared by the University from marks secured in Qualifying examinations (PUC II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent) in relevant subjects conducted by various Boards of Authority and JSSU entrance examination. • 15% of total seats are reserved for NRI / Foreign / Management. • 5 % of the seats are reserved for Institutional preference. b) JSSU entrance test score are valid only for admission during the academic year 2011. c) Decision of the authorities of JSS University in case of disputes will be final. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject. 2) The General Merit Candidate should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together and should have also passed in English language in the qualifying examinations i.e. PUC II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent. As per the Dental Council of India (DCI) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB, Further must secure not less than 50% marks in PCB in the Common Entrance Test (JSS University Entrance Test - 2011.) 3) The SC, ST , OBC and CAT – I Candidate of Karnataka should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together and should have also passed in English language in the qualifying examinations i.e. PUC II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent. As per the Dental Council of India (DCI) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 40% of marks taken together in PCB, Further must secure not less than 40% marks in PCB in the Common Entrance Test (JSS University Entrance Test - 2011.) 4) Age: The candidate should complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2011 for admission to BDS programme. Application Procedure: A candidate desirous of appearing in the JSS University Entrance Test – 2011 for Undergraduate Dental Course is required to complete the prescribed application form and submit to the University in the following ways: • A candidate is required to download the prescribed application form from the University website: www.jssuni.edu.in and submit the completed form to the University on or before the scheduled date (A copy of the application form is given at ANNEXURE – I). The downloaded and printed application form should be sent along with a processing fee of Rs. 1,000/- only by way of DD favouring “JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT”, MYSORE, payable at Mysore along with the documents listed below. * • Candidates may also obtain the application form along with the Brochure by sending a application fee of Rs. 200/- only by way of DD favouring “JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT”, MYSORE , payable at Mysore. The duly filled application form should be sent to the University along with documents listed below enclosing DD for Rs. 1,000/- favouring “JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT”, MYSORE, payable at Mysore. Foreign Nationals seeking admission should obtain eligibility certificate issued by JSS University, Mysore. 11. Processing fee of Rs. 2,000/- only by way of DD favouring “JSS UNIVERSITY FEE ACCOUNT”, MYSORE, payable at Mysore. The candidate should write name , address and “Application for admission to BDS courses” on the back side of the Demand Draft. The completed application with requisite documents as detailed above along with demand draft for Rs.1000/-, should be enclosed in an envelope super scribed clearly on the outside of the envelope “APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO BDS COURSES” and sent to the under mentioned so as to reach before 5:00 pm on 10.06.2011, either by speed post, courier or by hand.
