ADMISSION NOTIFICATION FOR MCA PROGRAMME - 2011

Admission Notification for MCA 2011 at Mesra, Allahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lalpur, Noida

Applications are invited for admission to the full-time MCA programme 2011-2014, at Mesra

and our Extension Centres at Allahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lalpur and Noida.

Eligibility:
(For details please see page for Eligibility Criteria in MCA 2011 Information Brochure,
or separate link for Eligibility Criteria on website).
· Candidates must hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree (minimum 10+2+3), in any of following:
1) Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), or
2) B.Sc. in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics, or
3) B.Sc. with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at graduate level.

· Candidates of B.Sc. Honours must have minimum 60% (45% for SC/ST) marks in
average in Honours subject. Other candidates must have minimum 60% (45% for
SC/ST) marks in average in graduation, computed as average of marks in ALL subjects
in which appeared (excluding optional subjects).
· Candidates must have passed in ALL subjects in which appeared in Class 10 (excluding
optional subjects) with minimum 60% (45% for SC/ST) marks in average, computed as
average of marks in ALL subjects in which appeared (excluding optional subjects).
· Candidates must have passed in ALL subjects in which they have appeared in Class 12
(excluding optional subjects) with minimum 60% (45% for SC/ST) marks in average.
Marks in Class 12 will be computed as average of best 5 subjects in which candidate has
appeared, including English, Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry.
· Candidates graduating in 2011 can apply, provided they can submit marksheets by 31
October 2011.
· Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance-learning
programmes are eligible only if they acquired such qualifications as working
professionals, and have passed the programme.


Selection Procedure:

Online Entrance Test on 6 and 7 June 2011 at Allahabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Noida, Patna and Ranchi. Provisional selections will be based on performance in the Test of candidates who have applied and fulfill the eligibility criteria.

How to Apply:
To apply for the programme, eligible candidates must fill in the online application form on our
website, and send printout with requisite enclosures and crossed DD for Rs. 1,600/- in
favour of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at Ranchi, by 6 May 2011, at the
address below. The link for filling the online form will be active from 9 am on 30 March
2011 to 7 pm on 4 May 2011.
