Below is a scholarship announcement from CAP
Community Action Partnership (CAP), a division of Louisville Metro Department of Housing and Family Services, is seeking qualified candidates for the CAPital Investment College Scholarship Program. Application can be accessed by

All candidates must meet the following criteria:
Jefferson County Resident
Household gross income not to exceed
125% of federal poverty guidelines
Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 for $10,000 scholarship
Cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 for $5,000 scholarships

Candidates must submit the following documents by close of business day on March 31, 2011 to be considered:
Scholarship application
Proof of gross income and household size
A copy of the household's proof of income for the previous month
Copies of social security cards for all household members
Copy of current report card with cumulative GPA
Letter of recommendation from counselor and parent/guardian
List of community involvement and/or extracurricular activities
College acceptance letter, if available

1,000-word typed essay: What are some issues concerning the youth of your community today, and If you could make one change to your community, what would it be and why?
