i have had an ear ache for the last 4 days it started on the inside as if i had swimmers ear so i tried home remidies. i try not to go to the doctors very much scince they just want to write a script and be done with ya but the pain is worse and i have a knot between my jaw and ear and its hard to open my mouth. i have been taking some penicilln vk because i am having dental work done i started the scrip the same day as the ear ache started. the ear ache started that morning it was not very bad at that time. i really hate going to the doctors. i have very well medical insurance but i hate doctors these days because they dont care for their patients just the money thanks

Is the dental work being done on thesame side that it hurts? That could be a major part. Dental problems can travel all up that side of your head, into your ear and jaw... cheek... It might be an ear infection too. Give the rx a few more days, then if the symptoms haven't gotten any better at least think about a Dr. There's only so much you can check over the internet.
