I never got an answer from Dr. Phil. Help?

There is a really wonderful older dance teacher. She is still teaching and in her 70's. Many years ago (12) she lost her only daughter to breast cancer. I think she is depressed and that's why this is happening. She has stopped caring for her teeth. She puts temporary dental stuff across her teeth. There is now an odor and she looks so peculiar. She used to be so attractive. I tried to talk to her about this but she was ready to end the friendship if I mentioned it again. Now her stomach is bloated and I think this is poisoning her system. She has a husband. I know this is not my business. But it is so noticeable now. She keeps questioning and being angry and having to take high blood pressure medicine IT'S HER TEETH!! I have never heard of a problem like this before. It's not a $ issue. She has insurance. I am distraught at watching this happen. Does anyone have an answer???? Dr. Phil hasn't responded!! Thanx

It is time for you to let this go. Were it depression that was leading to the tooth care issue, it is unlikely she would still be teaching. She has already told you once to drop it. She has other people in her life (e.g., spouse) who is also aware of the situation. What you really need to examine here, is why this is bothering you so intensely. Although it can be difficult to witness the problems of others, at some point, you must demonstrate the maturity and the wisdom to let others live their lives as they see fit. Let it go. It's time. ~Dr. B.~
