Is it possible to bring a toddler to prenatal (OB-GYN) appointments?

We have a (just turned) one year old. We wanted our children close together and just found out I am pregnant again (a bit sooner and easier than we anticipated). I have scheduled my first few visits (as well as a dental appt bc I have troubles when I'm pregnant) and mentioned to my husband that we'll need to situate daycare if he's not going to be able to come. He can't take off of work very often so he will only be coming to the ultrasound. It seems that for the next few weeks I have an appt one day every week for something and that adds up! My husband just kind of shrugged and said 'Just bring him with you'. When I asked him what to do with him while I'm being seen he just smiled and said 'You'll figure it out'. Once again he seems clueless or I am taking things out of proportion. He really and truly thinks I can just handle anything and everything with ease (maybe I shouldn't make it look so easy!). So... have any of you ever had to bring your toddlers to your appointments? If so, how did you manage and what type of appointments were they there for? If not, what do you suggest? How should I approach this? We don't have family or anyone nearby that can take care of our son during the day.

I've done it twice. I scheduled mine after naptime, and just brought them in an umbrella stroller along with a snack, a sippy cup, a few book and toys. I never had a problem! You'll do fine as long as you try and keep him entertained.
