America v Britain, for many years it was a clear cut, Britain, but in recent times, America has stepped up as top favourite. The reason why i believe that Britain is a better country than the USA is because: Britain is more free than America. We have free health care, we have freedom to have an abortion if we wish to, we have free contraception, free dental up until 18, we have free travel if you are in full time education, we have less poverty. America is full of poverty. On the outskirts of states like Washington is full of poverty and bad living conditions, and people living below the poverty line, and in other areas to, which are not near tourist attractions. America is not multicultural, people are living in ghettos, blacks are away from whites, whites are away blacks etc. But, what do YOU think? Nonetheless, America is a lovely country and is definitely one of the best in the world. This is NOT Anti-American as much as it might sound as if it is, please note that. Thank you

Of course Britain is better than America, that goes without saying, but let's say it anyway. America is a FAT nation. Obesity is at its highest it has ever been in the USA, Britain is not too far behind, but a lot better than the US's current climate. Britain has free health care, through its taxation policies. However, if Britain decided that health care must be paid for from now on - British citizens would still have to pay the same amount of tax as they did before, it is paid through by taxes, but that tax would still be paid even if it was not free, so in that sense it is free. Also, a homeless tramp does not pay tax, she/he still gets free health care. The 20m or so non-tax-payers also get free health care. Explain that one wickedon! You are free to have an abortion in America - if you pay like $2000! How many Americans could afford that, even if it was that cheap? It's not free and it's very costly, and not all states even allow that, some states are 100% against abortion and will not tolerate it. Backstreet ally abortions are common, espeically in the south, you don't get that in Britain. So in that aspect, Britain is better. Britain IS multiculutral, America is NOT! Blacks are still isolated in America today, they think because they elected a black President that the world now thinks they are not racist? Dream on America, you are a racist hateful nation. We gave you your independence and you continued slavery for 30-odd years, requiring a civil war to stop it! Idiots! Contraception is free to all if you go to a sex-clinic, especially free to teenagers, but you have to fill in some forms, so most prefer to buy them fresh. Britain and America are two similar nations. We both have a variety of different backgrounds. Not mentioning blacks or asians for a minute - Britain is made up of Welsh people, English people, Scotish people and Northern Irish people, mainly Celtic people and Anglo-Saxon people. America is made up of Irish, Germans, Brits, Africans, Asians etc. Yet, in the UK, the people's cultures and traditions are kept, and not "americanised". How many German Americans speak German today? Etc. Britain has a unique and collective culture that changes all the time, America has a single culture, derived from many different cultures and backgrounds that form the US culture and national identity. In this sense, Britain is better, because the different cultures are remained, and not "Britainised" like America 'Americanises' or should i say, Americanizes, for my lovely American friends.
