Does Percocet make someone sleep all day?

My husband got some dental work done yesterday and the dentist gave him Percocet. I stayed home from work today to take care of him but so far all he's done is sleep! It's like I stayed home for this?? Anyway, just wondering what Percocet does, I can't find the insert that came with the prescription telling about the side effects. Thanks
